The short, honest rules for using InwardFocus. Please read them — they cover your subscription, your rights, and ours.
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the InwardFocus iOS application and the inwardfocus.app website (together, the "Service"), operated by InwardFocus ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using InwardFocus, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
InwardFocus helps you block distracting apps on schedules you define, using Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework, and replaces blocked moments with daily affirmations. The free tier includes one focus schedule and a selection of affirmation themes. Additional schedules, themes, and features require an InwardFocus Premium purchase.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service, and you need an iPhone running iOS 18 or later with Screen Time enabled.
InwardFocus Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID — we never see or store your payment details.
InwardFocus is a self-improvement and productivity tool. Affirmations and screen-time features are provided for motivation and general wellbeing — they are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and are not a treatment for any condition. If you are struggling with compulsive phone use or your mental health, please consider speaking with a qualified professional.
When using the Service you agree not to:
App blocking relies on Apple's Screen Time framework and the permissions you grant. You remain in control of your device: you can pause blocks, disable schedules, or revoke Screen Time permission at any time. InwardFocus is a commitment aid, not a guarantee — we are not responsible for outcomes that result from apps being blocked or unblocked, including missed notifications, messages, or time-sensitive content during a focus session.
The Service — including the app, website, InwardFocus name and logo, affirmation collections, themes, and all design elements — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that blocking will function in every circumstance (for example, after iOS updates or changes to Apple's frameworks).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or the website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
